11th May 2011 Category: Analysis
With the home and away season almost a third of the way through, we thought we'd have a look at the players that are rising and falling in 2011.
This list is made up of those players with the greatest percentage increase/decrease in rating from 2010 to 2011.
If you're unfamiliar with how the ratings work click through to the "How It Works" page for an explanation.
It's worth noting that within this system there are some increases that should be considered to mean more than others. Stewart Crameri for example leads the list by such a margin in part because of his poor rating in 2010. The improvement of Sam Mitchell, Shane Mumford and Jobe Watson is perhaps more significant because of the fact that they have improved on solid numbers in 2010. The same can be said for players that have dropped in 2011. Alan Didak and Brendan Goddard are victims of their own great form in 2010.
The figure in brackets represents the players’ average rating for the 2010 season.

6th May 2011 Category: Analysis
On the surface it would appear as though Melbourne are on par with expectation this season, sitting 8th on the table with two wins, two losses and a draw. But anyone that’s seen Melbourne this season knows there’s more to the story, and there’s reason for concern.
